16. Basis of Payment <br />Payment shall be made for the work on the basis specified below. The cost of any additional labor <br />materials, tool and supplies which have not been specifically identified in this section for payment, <br />but required to complete the project as per the plans and specifications shall be considered <br />incidental to the project. <br />1. Mobilization — Payment shall be made on a lump sum basis for the mobilization of equipment. <br />2. Traffic Control — Payment shall be made on a lump sum basis as compensation for all <br />equipment, material and labor costs required for the installation and maintenance of traffic <br />control measures (signage, barricades, flasher, etc.), as directed by the Engineer, for any local <br />traffic disruptions or temporary closures. <br />3. Remove Pavement Marking — Payment shall be made on a per square foot basis as <br />compensation for all equipment, material, and labor costs required for the removal of pavement <br />marking messages, i.e. turn arrows. <br />4. Remove Pavement Marking — Payment shall be made on a per lineal foot basis as compensation <br />for all equipment, material, and labor costs required for the removal of pavement marking <br />striping, i.e. 4" solid lines. <br />5. Pavement Marking — Payment shall be made on a per each basis as compensation for all <br />equipment, material, and labor costs required for the transportation, and placement of the <br />required pavement markings shown on the plans. <br />6. Pavement Striping — Payment shall be made on a per lineal foot basis as compensation for all <br />equipment, material, and labor costs required for the transportation, and placement of the <br />required pavement striping shown on the plans, based upon type, and size. <br />SP 5 <br />
