SPECIAL PROVISIONS - SP20I6 BOOK <br />Last Revision by CO Special Provisions: 2/08/17 <br />Created August 20, 2015 <br />Page 29 <br />SP 0202-101 <br />S-32.3 MnDOT 2461.2.0 shall be deleted. <br />S-32.4 MnDOT 2461.2.D shall be modified to include the following: <br />Provide water from potable sources. <br />The Concrete Engineer will allow clarified water as a substitution for potable water in accordance <br />with the following: <br />(1) From the Approved/Qualified Products list, <br />(2) In any concrete defined as MnDOT Grades B, F, G, M, P, and R, <br />(3) Up to a maximum of 50.0% of total mix water by weight, <br />(4) Provided the clarified water is identified separately on the Certificate of Compliance. <br />S-32.5 MnDOT 2461.2.E shall be deleted and replaced with the following: <br />E Concrete Admixtures 3113 <br />Provide admixtures from the Approved/Qualified Products list for all concrete grades shown in <br />Table 2461-6 and Table 2461-7. <br />Use of any of the following admixtures are at the Contractor's discretion: <br />(1.1) Type A, Water Reducing Admixture <br />(1.2) Type B, Retarding Admixture <br />(1.3) Type D, Water Reducing and Retarding Admixture <br />(1.4) Type F, High Range Water Reducing Admixture <br />(1.5) Type G, High Range Water Reducing and Retarding Admixture <br />(1.6) Type S, Specific Performance Based Admixture <br />Use of the following accelerating admixtures require approval of the Concrete Engineer, in <br />conjunction with the Engineer, unless otherwise allowed in the Contract: <br />(2.1) Type C, Accelerating Admixture <br />(2.2) Type E, Water Reducing and Accelerating Admixture <br />The Engineer will permit the use of Type C or Type E accelerating admixtures when all of the <br />following conditions exist: <br />(3.1) The ambient temperature is below 36 °F, <br />(3.2) An Engineer approved cold weather protection plan is in -place, and <br />(3.3) Cold weather protection materials are on -site and ready for use. <br />S-32.6 Table 2461-1 of MnDOT 2461.2.F.1 shall be deleted and replaced with the following: <br />Table 2461-1 <br />Mix Number Identification <br />Second Additional <br />First Digit Digit Third Digit Fourth Digit Digits <br />Type Grade Maximum Coarse Aggregate Additional Digits <br />Designation Designation Slump Gradation Allowed or as <br />Designation Specified <br />S-32.7 MnDOT 2461.2.F.1.b shall be deleted and replaced with the following: <br />
