Batch water includes potable <br />water and clarified water. <br />S-32.23 MnDOT 2461.3.F.4(7) shall be deleted and replaced with the following: <br />(7) <br />(8) <br />Take cementitious and admixtures samples per Schedule of Materials Control. <br />Document the following samples in the appropriate Sampling Log: <br />(8.1) Cementitious Materials <br />(8.2) Admixtures <br />(8.3) Verification Gradations <br />(8.4) Coarse Aggregate Quality <br />S-32.24 MnDOT 2461.3.F.4.b. 2461.3.F.4.c, 2461.3.F.4.d, and 2461.3.F.4.e shall be deleted and replaced <br />with the following: <br />F.4.b Sampling and Testing <br />Take all samples randomly in accordance with ASTM D 3665, Section 5, at a rate defined in <br />accordance with the Schedule of Materials Control. Perform all sampling and testing in accordance with <br />the Concrete Manual The Engineer may oversee the QC sampling and testing process. <br />Perform QC gradation and moisture testing at the certified ready -mix plant site. Use mechanical <br />shakers for sieve analysis. Determine the moisture content using the oven -dry method in all fractions of the <br />aggregate. <br />Provide equipment and perform calibrations meeting the requirements of the following: <br />(1) AASHTO T 27, "Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates," <br />(2) AASHTO T 255, "Total Moisture Content of Aggregate by Drying," <br />(3) AASHTO M 92, "Wire -cloth Sieves for Testing Purpose," and <br />(4) AASHTO M 231, "Weighing Devices Used in the Testing of Materials." <br />F.4.c QC Gradations <br />Complete the Concrete Aggregate Worksheet for each aggregate size and source: <br />(1.1) QC gradations; <br />(1.2) Verification Companion Gradations; The Engineer will not allow a Verification <br />Companion Gradation as a substitute for a QC Gradation. <br />
