<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-12-251 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM <br />(LRIP) FUNDING APPLICATION FOR EXTENDING RIVERDALE DRIVE <br />FROM TRAPROCK STREET TO RAMSEY BOULEVARD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey desires to extend Riverdale Drive from Traprock Street <br />to Ramsey Boulevard to complete the south frontage road to U.S. Highway 10 between <br />Armstrong Boulevard and Ramsey Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey’s 2015 – 2019 Capital Improvement Program identifies <br />this project for construction in calendar years 2016 – 2017; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />this improvement project is identified as an immediate priority in the <br />Highway 10 Access Planning Study completed in 2014 as a partnership between the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation and the Anoka County Highway Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City represents that this project meets the requirements of the Routes of <br />Regional Significance Account thereby allowing the project to receive grant funding through the <br />Local Road Improvement Program at the maximum available amount of $750,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City has the capability to adequately fund its local cost share for this <br />public improvement project in the estimated amount of $350,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City agrees to comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated <br />in the grant agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City has the necessary capabilities to adequately develop, implement, <br />manage, and maintain this public improvement project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes staff to apply for $750,000 in grant <br />funding from the Routes of Regional Significance Account made available through the <br />Local Road Improvement Program. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />
