Signage was discussed and it was determined a sign would be allowed according to the covenants. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend that City <br />Council approve Mr. Mike Sjoquist's request for site plan approval contingent upon compliance <br />with the City Staff review letter dated July 31, 1991. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Terry, LaDue, Bawden and <br />Deemer. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and Thorud. <br /> <br />Case ~eT: Proposed Amendment to Ramsey City Code Chapter 9 (Zoning and <br /> Subdivision of Land) Section 9.50.05 <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that an ordinance had been drafted which would amend the City Code to give <br />City Staff the authority to approve a lot line realignment in those instances where no adverse <br />impacts will result from the action or no new lots would be created. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to amend Section 1. A <br />and B to read "....doesnot create any lot which is substandard for the applicable zoning district, <br />or any overlay district, in which it lies..." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, LaDue <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and Thorud. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend that <br />City Council investigate bonding or an insurance policy to cover activities taken under this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, LaDue <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and Thorud. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to recommend that <br />City Council adopt Ordinance 091-XX, as amended, amending Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision <br />of Land), Section 9.50.05 of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Bawden, Deemer, LaDue <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and Thorud. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Terry to rearrange the agenda to <br />accommodate the audience. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Terry, Bawden and <br />LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Hendriksen and Thorud. <br /> <br />Case #9: Review City Code for Amendments Relating to the Keeping of <br /> Poultry and Fowl <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that the City has been getting complaints about fowl being kept on neighbor's <br />properties. The City's current ordinance is not clear with regard to the keeping of poultry and fowl <br />as it does not state a minimum lot size requirement. She stated she called neighboring cities and <br />acquired their ordinance for keeping poultry and fowl. She added she prefers to keep any <br />information regarding animals, poultry, fowl, etc. to be contained in one chapter of City Code so it <br />is more easily accessible. <br /> <br />Planning Zoning Commission/August 20, 1991 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
