Upon inquiry as to what is a permitted use under the current zoning, Ms. Frolik answered retail
businesses, restaurants, office buildings, professional buildings, funeral homes, medical and
animal clinics and accessory adult uses, etc.

Robert Lunde, 14393 Waco Street N.W., Ramsey - stated he is against rezoning for multiple
dwellings. He feels he would be at a personal risk of traffic problems and perhaps personal loss of
property value and the difficulty of selling his home in the future.

Ms. Frolik asked the residents if they would be against R-3 which allows seven units per acre to
which they answered yes, they would be opposed.

She then asked if the residents would be opposed to R-2 which allows duplexes to which the
majority again answered yes, they would be opposed.

Upon inquiry as to what is a permitted use for R-3, Ms. Frolik answered multiple dwellings up to
seven units per acre, single and two family homes, churches, schools, agriculture, gardening and
P.U.D. to obtain townhouses.

Upon inquiry if this neighborhood was getting "picked on" because they had City sewer and
water, Ms. Frolik replied that multiple family dwellings cannot be developed without City sewer
and water.

A resident commented that Mr. Raudio had made mention of a bowling alley in the neighborhood,
and in thinking it over, he felt this would create less stress on the neighborhood than multiple
family dwellings might.

Upon inquiry as to how much public opinion helps, Chairman Zimmerman stated all comments are
considered when making a decision.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to adjourn the public
hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden,
Hendriksen, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner LaDue.

The public hearing adjourned at 8:35 p.m.

Respectfu.l~ly submitted,

,~ ..... .~-.f , . /~ ,'
"'-----, ......
