New Summer Recycling Event to be held on Saturday,July 29! The standard Spring and Fall <br /> Recycling Events have been expanded to include a Summer Recycling Event! The Summer <br /> Recycling Day event is scheduled for Saturday, July 29, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Public <br /> Works campus. The City has implemented this summer event toprovide residents another <br /> opportunity to dispose of items that are generally not accepted through the curbside recycling <br /> program, including appliances, electronics, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, scrap metal and tires. <br /> Standard recyclables, such as newspaper, cardboard, cans, bottles etc., are also accepted. <br /> Mattresses and box springs in any condition will be accepted. Carpeting (and carpet padding)and <br /> textiles are also accepted. The event also includes free document destruction (paper shredding) <br /> for residents to securely dispose of papers containing personal data (limit of 3 boxes per vehicle) <br /> and free disposal of used oil,oil filters and antifreeze.
