Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #04-11-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR GRANT FUND TO FACILITATE THE REMEDIATION OF CONTAMINATION ON THE ST. ANTHONY GUN CLUB PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act Housing Incentive Program for 2004 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore eligible to make application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and WHEREAS, the City has identified the St. Anthony Gun Club Contamination cleanup as a project that meets the Tax Base Revitalization Accounts purposes and criteria; and WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations; and WHEREAS, the City agrees to act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the Tax Base Revitalization grant application known as the St. Anthony Gun Club Contamination Cleanup project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan Council for funding on behalf of the City and to execute such agreement as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this 9"' day of November, 2004.
