She stated <br />she hopes staff will look at that some day, as it is not becoming when every property has a <br />different type of fence. <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained staff keeps a similar list for R-2 and R-3 <br />standards, and this will be added to those lists for discussion. <br />COunCilmcinber Zimmennan concurred with Councilmember Kurak. <br />Mayor Ganiec inquired about the barbed wire requirements for a situation such as a 30-acre <br />parcel that has horses. <br />Community Development Director Frolik explained this ordinance is proposing to eliminate the <br />barbed wire on a residential property. <br />COUncillnember Cook commented barbed wire is not good fencing for horses. He stated he has a <br />concern about the three-foot setback, as there will be problems with maintaining the area on the <br />other side of the fence. <br />Mayor Gamec stated horses reach under the fence and eat the grass. He thinks the setback is <br />good so a person can get on both sides to maintain the fence without trespassing. <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to introduce an <br />ordinance to amend the R-1 Residential District regulations. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Pearson, Strommen, Kurak, and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Cook. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br />Case #12: Adopt Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Lot 1, Block 1, Business Park 95 <br />Second Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />City Attorney Goodrich indicated on October 12, 2004, the Council introduced an ordinance to <br />authorize the sale of Lot 1, Block 1, Business Park 95 Second Addition.
