Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated CBRE started at the end of February so they <br />will be submitting a report at the end of March. He stated that topic will be added to a future <br />Work Session agenda. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated part of the contract was a requirement for monthly reports and <br />CBRE had committed to that activity. <br />Councilmember Riley asked if CBRE will be talking about each parcel with staff so they have <br />full knowledge about the status. <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated staff can reach out again with an update to <br />assure there is no confusion but he felt CBRE had a good grasp about the North Common’s <br />property. <br />Mayor Strommen asked staff to use its discretion whether staff will present the CBRE monthly <br />report or if CBRE should be in attendance. <br />Economic Development Manager LaFrance stated staff is also working with CBRE on locating <br />utilities. <br />Councilmember Johns asked for an update on the sidewalk on Alpine that was not installed with <br />the road construction project. <br />City Engineer Westby stated staff is looking at alternatives and initially looked at a typical multi- <br />use pathway that was wider. Because that would have impacted properties, options are being <br />considered for a pathway that is narrower along this County roadway. He stated he is waiting for <br />clarification from Anoka County on the width that it would consider. In addition, there are <br />issues with private utilities that will impact the design of that trail. City Engineer Westby stated <br />staff will report on this topic by the end of April. <br />The Council agreed with the suggestion of Mayor Strommen that the Public Works Committee <br />provide a recommendation on this matter. <br />Councilmember Riley expressed concern with the high level of lighting at the Ramsey Train <br />Station during evening hours. He asked staff to determine whether there are options to shut off <br />some of the lighting. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated he made Metropolitan Transit aware of that concern and will <br />check back for an update. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated it may be an issue of safety. <br />4.
