Board Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-06- A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0 RELATING TO A REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE TO THE I4_EIGHT RESTRICTIONS IN AN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, Marshall Concrete, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has requested a variance from structure height restrictions established in City Code in order to allow for the installation of second silo at the concrete ready mix plant on the property generally known as 14141 Unity Street N.W. and legally described as follows: Lot 3, Block 1, Park 67 Industrial Park; -and- The South 175 feet of West 110 feet of Lot 4, Block 1, Park 67 Industrial Park; -and- Outlot B, Business Park 95 5~ Addition; all in Anoka County, Minnesota. (the "Subject Property" ). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on June 6, 2002, and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. 2. That the property is zoned Industrial is appro,'dmately 115,290 square feet in size which equates to 2.6 acres. 3. That the Industrial District regulations restrict structure heights to 35 feet. 4. That the Applicant is proposing to install a second ready-mix silo at the facility on the Subject Property that will be approximately 61 feet in height. 5. That there is an existing ready-mix silo on the Subject Property that is 62.5 feet in height. 6. That the 35-foot height restr/ction is based on the current reach capabilities of fire suppression equipment in the City's fire department. 7. That the City of Ramsey 2002 budget includes $630,000.00 for the acquisition of an aerial ladder truck for the Fire Department.
