Commissioner introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #02-12 RESOLUTION GRANTING A ONE YEAR EXTENSION TO INITIATE THE VARIANCE GRANTED ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2002 TO KELLY AND CARRIE HEMP WHEREAS, Kelly and Carrie Hemp, hereinafter referred to as. "Applicants", is requesting a one-year extension to implement their variance from lot width/street frontage on the following described property located in the City of Ramsey: The Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 4, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, EXCEPT the east 528.00 feet of the north 659.64 feet thereof as measured along the north line and east lines thereof, and EXCEPT the west 330.00 feet thereof as measure along said north line. Together with an ingress and egress easement over and across the west 66.00 feet of the east 528.00 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 4 and the north 50.00 feet of the west 66.00 feet of the east 528.00 feet of the said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter. (the "Subject Property") WHEREAS, on September 10, 2001, the Ramsey Board of Adjustment granted a variance to lot width/street frontage to the Applicants; and WHEREAS, Section 9.50.05 (Variance), Subd. 5 (Lapse of Variance) of the Ramsey City Code states that a variance shall become null and void one year after final action by the Board of Adjustment if not initiated or utilized; and WHEREAS, Section 9.50.05 (Variance), Subd. 5 (Lapse of Variance) of the Ramsey City Code further states that the applicant may request the Board of Adjustment to grant an extension of time to complete or utilize the variance; and WHEREAS, on November 12, 2002 the City received a written communication from the Applicants requesting a one-year extension to utilize their variance granted on September 10, 2002. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Ramsey Board of Adjustment hereby grants a one year extension ending- on September 10, 2003 for the Applicant to initiate the variance to lot width/street frontage by pulling a building permit for the construction of a single-family home on the Subject Property. 19
