6. BOARD / STAFF INPUT
City Planner Anderson noted the Spring Recycling Event went much smoother than in previous
years. This year, residents were able to pay at the entrance, which helped move vehicles through
the event quicker. He didn't get an accurate count of vehicles this time so he would have to gauge
the participation more so on the tonnages reported. He said he may introduce a summer drop off,
if the needs warrant it.
City Planner Anderson gave a recap of an Arbor Day planting with the Park and Recreation
Commission at the Brookfield development. Some of the neighboring residents attended the
planting.
City Planner Anderson noted the rain barrel and compost bin distribution event will take place on
May 20. The event will take place at the same place the recycling event was held, at the Public
Works Facility on Jaspar Street.
Chairperson Stodola announced Board Member Lewis will be leaving the EPB. He thanked Board
Member Lewis for his work, stating he left the Board in a better place than he started.
7.
