Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-07-182 RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-10, PUMA STREET UTILITY EXTENSIONS WHEREAS, when Bunker Lake Boulevard was extended west of Armstrong Boulevard in 2006, public utilities (sanitary sewer and watermain) were constructed to a point approximately 2,650 feet west of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and WHEREAS, public utilities were not constructed under the remaining section of Bunker Lake Boulevard, east of its intersection with Puma Street, or under Puma Street north of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and WHEREAS, current and future development proposals in the Future Business Park area will require public utilities to serve the developments; and WHEREAS, the Riverstone Development proposes to construct numerous residential properties in the fall of 2017 that will require utility services; and WHEREAS, an Assessment Agreement exists to help pay for 40% of the project costs to extend utilities along Puma Street. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: The City Administrator is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Bolton & Menk, 1) Inc. to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements per the proposal dated June 20, 2017. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember LeTourneau, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Johns Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Riley Councilmember Shryok Councilmember Williams and the following voted against the same: None
