WHEREAS, final Plans and Specifications are complete and were reviewed and approved by MnDOT allowing the project to be let for bids; and WHEREAS , Bids were received, opened, tabulated and checked for errors and omissions on July 21, 2017, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID Douglas-Kerr Underground, L.L.C. $701,270.54 Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $759,454.91 RL Larson Excavating Inc. $762,571.15 Kuechle Underground Inc. $773,292.37 Northdale Construction Company, Inc. $775,654.73 Ryan Contracting Co. $796,845.00 LaTour Construction, Inc. $797,210.35 Park Construction Company $809,638.90 WHEREAS , the bid of Douglas-Kerr Underground of Mora, MN, in the amount of $701,270.54 for construction of said improvements is the lowest bid and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said contractor for construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Johns Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Williams and the following voted against the same: None RESOLUTION #17-07-180 Page 2 of 3
