<br />Mayor Strommen invited each of the girls to introduce themselves to the group. The troop leader <br />thanked the City and noted that the troop had a lot of fun, especially with the painting of the bee <br />houses. Mayor Strommen encouraged the members of the community to get out into the parks <br />and look for the new bee houses. <br />2.02: Oath of Office for a Patrol Officer <br /> <br />Police Captain Frankfurth introduced the newest member of the Police Department, Robert <br />Pullar, who grew up in Elk River. He stated that Officer Pullar joined the force in March, has <br />completed all necessary training and has been serving on a regular shift. <br /> <br />Mayor Strommen administered the oath of the office to Patrol Officer Robert Pullar. <br />2.03: Introduce New Community Service Officer <br /> <br />Police Captain Frankfurth introduced a newly appointed Community Service Officer, Aaron <br />th <br />Pipenhagen, who began on March 10. He noted that CSO Pipenhagen also grew up in Elk <br />River and is continuing education with hopes to continue a career in law enforcement. <br /> <br />Mayor Strommen congratulated the new members of the Police Department and thanked the <br />members of the department for attending tonight. <br />2.04: 2017 Happy Days Festival Update <br /> <br />Administrative Intern Allyson Krattenmaker reviewed the schedule of events for the upcoming <br />Happy Days Festival, including new and expanding events for the festival. She noted that the <br />planning for the event is on schedule and the event is operating with a balanced budget with <br />thanks to the City and the event sponsors. <br /> <br />Councilmember Williams noted that there is an online option for volunteers to sign-up to assist <br />with the event. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to approve the <br />following items on the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />4.01: Receive Cash and Investments for Period Ending July 31, 2017 <br />4.02: Approve Licenses: <br />Solicitor <br />Southwestern Advantage/2451 Atrium Way, Nashville, TN <br />Transient Merchant <br />City Council / August 8, 2017 <br />Page 3 of 7 <br /> <br />
