Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-09-226 <br />RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE THE LEAD POLICE RECORDS TECHNICIAN TO THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICE SUPERVISOR <br />WHEREAS, the current Police Department Office Supervisor, Joleen Wiemann, is retiring <br />on September 29, 2017; and <br />WHEREAS; Ms. Jemma Torseth submitted a letter of interest and was interviewed by <br />Captain Bluml and Human Resources Manager Lasher; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Torseth has been an asset to the Police Department and meets or <br />exceeds the qualifications of the position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends promoting Ms. Jemma Torseth to the position of Police <br />Department Office Supervisor, a non -union, exempt position, effective October 1, 2017, at step 1 <br />of the 2017 pay scale, which is $28.68 per hour / $4971.20 per month; subject to a 6 month <br />probation. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Therefore, the Ramsey City Council approves promoting Ms. Jemma Torseth to the position <br />of Police Department Office Supervisor, a non -union, exempt position, effective October 1, <br />2017, at step 1 of the 2017 pay scale, which is $28.68 per hour / $4971.20 per month; subject <br />to a 6 month. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
