CC Regular Session 4. 11. <br />Meeting Date: 09/12/2017 <br />By: Colleen Lasher, Administrative <br />Services <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #17-09-227 to Hire an Engineering Intern <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to request authorization to hire one Engineering Intern to work through the last weeks of <br />the season. <br />Annually, the City employs Interns to work in Administrative Services, Community Development, Engineering, and <br />Public Works. The process to fill these positions includes an open competitive recruitment, interviews, background <br />checks, pre -employment testing, City Council approval to hire and on -boarding. <br />At this time, staff selected one qualified intern. The candidate has passed the pre -employment screenings and staff <br />recommends hiring the candidate listed below. <br />Notification: <br />Intern pay: The intern pay scale ranges from $12.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Option #1 To hire the selected 2017 Engineering Intern. <br />Option #2: Not moving ahead with hiring the Intern.
