Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-09-222 RESOLUTION HIRING A LEAD POLICE RECORDS TECHNICIAN WHEREAS, the current Lead Police Records Technician has been approved for promotion to the Police Department Office Supervisor position effective October 1, 2017; and WHEREAS; Ms. Emmah Beardsley has been selected by staff to fill the Lead Police Records Technician position; and WHEREAS, Ms. Beardsley successfully passed the City's pre -employment checks, including: reference checks, background and driving record checks, and a pre -employment drug screen; and WHEREAS, Staff recommends hiring Ms. Emmah Beardsley as the Police Department's new Lead Police Records Technician effective on or near October 2, 2017, at step 1 of the 2017 pay scale, which is $20.93 per hour. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Therefore, the Ramsey City Council approves hiring Ms. Emmah Beardsley as the Police Depailinent's new Lead Police Records Technician effective on or near October 2, 2017, at step 1 of the 2017 pay scale which is $20.93 per hour. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of September, 2017.
