<br />Councilmember Williams introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-09-214 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #17-10, PUMA <br />STREET UTILITY EXTENSIONS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> in 2006, Bunker Lake Boulevard was extended west of Armstrong <br />Boulevard and Puma Street was constructed between Bunker Lake Boulevard and Alpine Drive; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> public utilities (sanitary sewer and watermain) were not constructed along <br />the west end of Bunker Lake Boulevard, east of its intersection with Puma Street, or under Puma <br />Street north of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> current and future developments along these streets will require public <br />utilities to serve the developments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Riverstone Development proposes to construct numerous residential <br />properties in the fall of 2017 requiring utility services to be extended along Puma Street, north of <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council on July 25, 2017, the City <br />Administrator was authorized to execute a contract with Bolton & Menk, Inc. to prepare plans <br />and specifications for the making of such improvements per their proposal dated June 20, 2017; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> an Assessment Agreement exists to help pay for 40% of the project costs to <br />extend utilities along Puma Street. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves final Plans and Specifications for <br />Improvement Project #17-10, Puma Street Utility Extensions, and authorizes <br /> <br />advertisements for bids. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br /> <br />
