<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-09-227 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE AN ENGINEERING INTERN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />annually the City employs interns to work in Administrative <br />Services, Community Development, Engineering, and Public Works; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, staff has found a significant benefit to employing these temporary <br />workers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, staff selected 1 qualified Engineering Intern to work through the last <br />weeks of the season; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff recommends hiring the selected 2017 candidates listed below. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #17-09-227 to hire the following employee: <br /> <br />Engineering Intern: Logan Czech at $14.00 per hour with start date on or near <br />August 28, 2017. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
