<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-09-241 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO METRO UTILITIES, INC. <br />FOR PROJECT #17-09, BUNKER LAKE BOULEVARD UTILITIES EXTENSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />when Bunker Lake Boulevard was extended west of Armstrong Boulevard <br />in 2006, public utilities (sanitary sewer and watermain) were constructed to a point approximately <br />2,650 feet west of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />public utilities were not constructed under the remaining 1,400 feet or so of <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard, east of its intersection with Puma Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Riverstone residential development west of Puma Street is under <br />construction and requires public utilities to serve the development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the existing public utilities under Bunker Lake Boulevard need to be <br />extended through the intersection of Bunker Lake Boulevard and Puma Street to serve the <br />Riverstone residential development; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />extending the public utilities will allow for development of other parcels <br />abutting the west end of Bunker Lake Boulevard, and along Puma Street to Alpine Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />on April 25, 2017 the City Engineer was ordered to prepare plans and <br />specifications for extending public utilities to the west end of Bunker Lake Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />on May 23, 2017, the City Council accepted final plans and specifications <br />and authorized advertisement for bids for said improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 27, 2017 the bid of <br />Metro Utilities, Inc. in the amount of $268,500.00 for the total bid is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />as of September 26, 2017 $0 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Metro Utilities, Inc. in the amount of $226,479.05. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Metro Utilities, Inc. for <br />1) <br />Improvement Project #17-09, Bunker Lake Boulevard Utilities Extension in the amount <br />of $226,479.05. <br /> <br />
