<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #17-09-238 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CASH DONATIONS OF *$23,270 FROM *several donors <br />TO BE APPLIED TOWARD the Happy Days Festival fund. *Please see attached list of <br />donations. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution that accepts <br />any donations or grants and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, two-Thirds majority of the council members must adopt said resolution to <br />formally accept donation. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey has received cash donations from _*several donors_ in <br />*Please see attached list of donations <br />the amount of _*$23,270_; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the donors elect to restrict the purpose of the donation to fund the _Happy <br />General Gov’t Special Projects <br />Days Festival- which is funded from the special revenue fund__. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />* <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts donations made by the donors listed_ in the <br />*Please see attached list of donations. <br />amount of *$23,270 . <br /> <br />2) The donation shall be applied to _the Happy Days Festival fund . <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Williams <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
