Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #17-10-261 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CITY OF ANOKA FUNDING APPLICATIONS FOR TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 IMPROVEMENTS AT THURSTON AVENUE AND FAIROAK AVENUE WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and the City of Anoka partnered with MnDOT and Anoka County to develop recommendations for the Highway 10 Access Planning Study; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is aware that the City of Anoka is actively developing the Highway 10 improvements at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue for implementation beginning in 2021; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is aware that the City of Anoka has actively pursued and obtained funding for Highway 10 improvements; however, considerable funding must still be secured; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey agrees the Highway 10 improvements at Thurston and Fairoak are a priority; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey fully supports the City of Anoka’s continuing efforts to pursue grant funding through various federal, state and local transportation programs; such sources as MnDOT Freight Program (MNFP), Transportation Economic Development (TED), Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER), Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA), Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP), MnDOT Corridors of Commerce, and others; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey appreciates Anoka’s efforts and those of all Highway 10 partners to address the challenges along Highway 10. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey fully supports the City of Anoka in submitting fund applications to various federal, state and local transportation programs for TH 10 improvements at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Johns Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley
