Economic Development Authority (EDA) <br />Meeting Date: 09/14/2017 <br />Submitted For: Patrick Brama, Administrative Services <br />By: Patrick Brama, Administrative Services <br />Title: <br />2018 EDA Workplan <br />Purpose/Background: <br />PURPOSE <br />Review and amend the 2018 City of Ramsey Economic Development Workplan (attached to case). <br />4. 3. <br />NOTE: this case was originally reviewed by the EDA in July. At the July meeting, the EDA had little time to <br />cover this case. Based on input from the EDA, staff made changes to the attached workplan. Additionally, <br />staff made a few changes based on recent projects updates, and staff made some minor grammatical/ <br />organizational changes. The EDA and City Council are scheduled for a joint session on September 26, 5:00 <br />pm. The main topic at the joint meeting will be the EDA work plan. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The purpose of an EDA workplan is: <br />"To provide a functional plan that prioritizes the work of the City 's economic development department and <br />Economic Development Authority (EDA). This plan highlights both day-to-day and long term economic <br />development priorities and goals for the City of Ramsey. At the July meeting, discussion was short due to a long <br />agenda. <br />The EDA will be reviewing this plan with the Council on 09/26. Staff would like to finalize/ re -review the plan <br />with the EDA before going back to Council. <br />Action: <br />Provide feedback and amendments. <br />
