COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />5.01: Follow-Up on Visioning Exercise and Discuss Objectives Parks Master Plan <br /> <br />Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood stated the City Council kicked off its <br />Master Parks and Trail Plan visioning exercise at its June Regular Meeting, and reviewed goals <br />and objectives related to Chapter 10 of the Comprehensive Plan. He added the Master Plan <br />exercise and Comprehensive Plan are occurring simultaneously and are very similar, so it makes <br />sense to work on them at the same time. He noted City Staff are seeking consensus from the <br />Park and Recreation Commission on elements of the larger Master Plan exercise. He introduced <br />Bruce Jacobson, a consultant from the University of Minnesota, and invited him to address the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Jac-connected park <br />added, in preparation for the Master Plan exercise, the initial statements in the Master Plan have <br />rks and Trail <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/August 10, 2017 <br />Page 2 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
