Consent <br /> <br />ASK FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE <br /> CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) <br /> By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br /> <br />2005-2009 <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Thc Capital hnprovement Program is a strategic planning tool to assist the City Council <br />in identifying proposed capital improvement projects over the next five years. The 2005- <br />2009 contains the following categories: Capital Improvement Bonding Projects, <br />Municipal Buildings, Park Improvements, Sewer Utility, Site Acquisitions, Storm Water <br />Utility, Street hnprovements, Street Light Utility and Water Utility Improvements. <br /> <br />A copy of the City's proposed 2005-2009 CIP was distributed at the Council work <br />session of November 3, 2004. <br /> <br />Per section 7.5 of the Ramsey City Charter, the City shall hold an annual public hearing <br />on thc five-year Capital Improvement Plan and adopt it by resolution. Staff is asking that <br />a Public hearing be held at the regular meeting of December 14, 2004. <br /> <br />Council Action: Motion to authorize a public hearing on December 14, 2004, to adopt <br />the 2005-2009 Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />James Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Consent: 11/23/04 <br /> <br /> <br />
