Although this section is <br />relatively short it will require installing curb and gutter on Alpine Drive and may involve <br />property acquisition as well. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated he had a difficult time With the recommendation on these <br />requests. He explained on one hand, to put a crosswalk in from a monetary standpoint is <br />relatively inexpensive, at only about $1,000. However, on the other hand, they want to avoid the <br />proliferation of crosswalks and use them sparingly.
