DEMOLITION PROCEDURE <br />7550 Sunwood Drive NW <br />Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 <br />City Hall: 763-427-1410 <br />Building and Inspections: 763-433-9850 <br />Fax: 763-433-9848 <br />www.cityoframsey.com/permits <br />permits@cityoframsey.com <br />Demolition Procedure <br />City of <br />RAMSEY <br />Documents Required <br />• Permit Application — Form Provided by the City <br />• City License required for commercial projects- form provided by the City <br />• Site Plan, Identifying the Structures to be removed/demolished <br />• MPCA Notice of Intent to Perform a Demolition, evidence of filing with the MPCA <br />• Septic Tank/System Abandonment, if applicable — MPCA Form Provided by the City <br />• Copy of Asbestos Survey <br />• Well Capped/Sealed Documentation <br />• Underground Fuel Storage Tank Abandonment, if applicable <br />Inspections Required <br />• PLEASE NOTE: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) requires a 10-day <br />waiting period from the date of submittal of Notice of Intent to Perform Demolition to the <br />MPCA before any demolition can occur. <br />• Site Inspection: Performed by Building Inspector, to verify utilities have been <br />disconnected, and job site safety. <br />• Site Inspection: Performed by Engineering Inspector, to verify erosion control has been <br />established in the areas identified by engineering staff. <br />• Final Inspection: Performed by Building Inspector, to verify all debris removed from site. <br />• Final Inspection: Performed by Engineering Inspector, to verify final grade and final <br />erosion control measures. <br />Fees <br />• Permit Fee $103.00 <br />• Erosion Control Escrow $1,500.00 <br />Permanent Erosion Control Establishment <br />• The site must be restored per stormwater with permanent vegetation.
