Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #17-10-261 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT FOR CITY OF ANOKA FUNDING APPLICATIONS FOR <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 IMPROVEMENTS AT THURSTON AVENUE AND FAIROAK <br />AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey and the City of Anoka partnered with MnDOT and <br />Anoka County to develop recommendations for the Highway 10 Access Planning Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is aware that the City of Anoka is actively developing <br />the Highway 10 improvements at Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue for implementation <br />beginning in 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is aware that the City of Anoka has actively pursued and <br />obtained funding for Highway 10 improvements; however, considerable funding must still be <br />secured; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey agrees the Highway 10 improvements at Thurston and <br />Fairoak are a priority; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey fully supports the City of Anoka's continuing efforts to <br />pursue grant funding through various federal, state and local transportation programs; such sources <br />as MnDOT Freight Program (MNFP), Transportation Economic Development (TED), <br />Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER), Infrastructure for <br />Rebuilding America (INFRA), Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP), MnDOT Corridors of <br />Commerce, and others; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey appreciates Anoka's efforts and those of all Highway 10 <br />partners to address the challenges along Highway 10. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the City of Ramsey fully supports the City of Anoka in submitting fund applications <br />to various federal, state and local transportation programs for TH 10 improvements at <br />Thurston Avenue and Fairoak Avenue. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same; <br />and the following abstained: <br />
