Public Works Committee 5. 3. <br />Meeting Date: 09/19/2017 <br />By: Bruce Westby, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Title: <br />Consider Recommendation for City Council to Order Feasibility Report for 2018 Overlay Improvements <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Staff will present maps of the proposed 2018 Overlay Project areas, along with estimated project costs and <br />estimated assessments for each project area. Staff will also present information on each street segments <br />dimensions, construction materials, age, maintenance operations history, current pavement condition (PASER) <br />ratings, and Ground Penetrating Radar evaluation results. <br />Staff plans to request City Council approval to prepare a Feasibility Report for this project on September 26, 2017. <br />The Public Works Committee's recommendation will be included in the Staff report. <br />Timeframe: <br />Staff anticipates 10 minutes will be required to present and discuss this case. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Alternatives: <br />Alternative # 1— Motion recommending that the City Council order a Feasibility Report for the 2018 Overlay <br />Improvements, City Improvement Project #18-03. <br />Alternative #2 — Motion of other. <br />Funding Source: <br />Attached is the 2018 Overlay Improvements sheet from the 2017 - 2026 Capital Improvement Plan which identifies <br />a total project cost of $753,700. <br />No additional costs will be incurred to complete the Feasibility Report.
