Councihncmber Cook introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUITON #04-07-180 <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE <br />WORKER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, four applications were received for the Public Works Maintenance Worker <br />position and all four applications were interviewed for the position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that Mr. E. Andy Eccleston be hired for the Public <br />Works Maintm~ance position. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA~ as follows: <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby confirms the recommendation of the Personnel <br />Committee to be the following: <br /> <br />Hire E. Andy Eccleston as a Public Works Maintenance Worker at an hourly wage of <br />$16.03 contingent upon satisfactory criminal background and reference checks, a pre- <br />employment physical and a drug screen. Mr. Eccleston will begin employment on or <br />near July 19, 2004 and will be subject to a six-month probationary period. All other <br />personnel policies will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Pearson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Counciimember <br />Councilmember <br />Counci hnember <br />Councihnember <br />Counci hnember <br /> <br />Cook <br />Pearson <br />Elvig <br />Strommen <br />Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />lx]onc <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and thc following were absent: <br /> <br />Counci lmember Kurak <br /> <br /> <br />
