CASE #...5- <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT REVIEW; <br />CASE OF MIKE'S WOODWORKING, MIKE SJOQUIST <br />By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may recall, in August of this year the City of Ramsey granted site plan approval to Mike <br />Sjoquist's proposal for a 1600 square foot cabinet making shop on Lot 4, Block 1, Pineview <br />Estates 2nd Addition Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.). Pineview Estates 2nd Addition PUD is <br />a plat approved to be developed with dual purpose lots. The front 200 feet of the lots is reserved <br />for residential use only; the balance of the lot is approved for certain commercial uses as listed in <br />the covenants for Pineview Estates 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />At this time, Mike Sjoquist is requesting an amendment to his site plan to also construct a 484 <br />square foot accessory building. The building will be used to store materials used for making <br />cabinets, exclusive of paints, varnishes, stains, etc. City Code states that accessory buildings to <br />principal commercial uses are limited to 30% of the gross floor area of the principal use. Mr. <br />Sjoquist's accessory structure exceeds that requirement by only 4 square feet. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />b) <br />c) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Proposed amendment to site plan <br />City Staff review letter dated November 26, 1991 <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />On July 30, 1991, the City of Ramsey received a request for site plan approval Mike Sjoquist. <br /> <br />On August 20, 1991, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the site plan and <br />recommended that City Council approve same. <br /> <br />On August 27, 1991, the Ramsey City Council granted site plan approval to Mr. Sjoquist. <br /> <br />On November 25, 1991, the Zoning Administrator received Mr. Sjoquist's request for an <br />amendment to the site plan to include a storage building. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the site plan amendment. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Recommend that City Council approve/deny Mr. Mike Sjoquist's request for a site plan <br />amendment for an accessory structure on Lot 4, Block 1, Pineview Estates 2nd Addition <br />PUD. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Zoning Adminis~'ator <br />City Engineer <br /> <br />37 <br /> <br /> <br />
