CASE # 4 <br /> <br />REQUEST TO VACATE DEDICATED STREET EASEMENT <br />BETWEEN P.I.N. 28-32-25-31-0004 AND P.I.N. 28-32-25-31-0003; <br />CASE OF JOHN AND PETER KOVAR <br /> By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />John J. and Pcter,G. Kovar are requesting that the City of Ramsey vacate a street right-of-way <br />easement thal~wa~ acquired in 1977 between two parcels described as P.I.N. 28-32-25-31-0004 <br />and P.I.N. 28-,32-25-31-0003 located along U.S. Highway gl0. The easement for road purposes <br />is 50 feet wid~ with 25 feet being on each of the above referenced lots. ! have reviewed the City <br />Council meet~g minutes from 1977 and there is no mention as to why this easement was acquired. <br />Because of tl~e location of this easement, it would appear that it was acquired to permit the <br />extension of ~frOntage road along the north side of U.S. Highway gl0. This easement appears to <br />be the extended ::access to and from the frontage road to U.S. Highway gl0. Due to the <br />narrowness ot~ th~se lots, a frontage road that ends in a cul-de-sac along the north side of the lots <br />along U.S. Highway gl0 would be a better location for the proposed frontage road. Taking into <br />consideration: comments that I have received from City Staff members, it would be my <br />recommendation to vacate this easement.
