Mr. Archer has indicated <br />that the additional space is needed to store personal equipment and vehicles only. <br /> <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br /> <br />a) <br />c) <br />d) <br />e) <br /> <br />Site location map <br />Site survey <br />Proposed findings of fact <br />Proposed conditional use permit <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />According tO City Code as it pertains to the subject property, the total allowable garage and <br />accessory building space allowed on Mr. Archer's property is 1,488 square feet. He currently has <br />a total of 1,024 square feet of garage and accessory building space and he is proposing to construct <br />a 576 square ~oot accessory garage, which exceeds the limit for his property by 112 square feet. <br />The accesso~ structure is proposed to be constructed of the same materials as that of the principal <br />structure on the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Archer i~ currently utilizing a lean-to attached to the existing garage to provide additional <br />storage space. This slructure should be removed from the property if the request to exceed garage <br />and accessory building space allowances is granted. <br /> <br />The City haslapproved similar requests in the past and there were also a couple of similar requests <br />that were denied. On those occasions, either the size of the building being requested was <br />considered ~ be significantly excessive (1900 suqare feet) or the applicant already had an <br />oversized accessory structure (1800 square feet). <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends approval of the request. <br /> Commission Action: <br /> <br />MotiOn to: <br />RecOmmend that City Council adopt Resolution #90-08- adopting Findings of Fact <br /># i relating to Norman Archer's request to construct an accessory structure at 15410 <br />Jackal Street N.W. larger than allowed by City .,Code. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />MotiOn to: <br />Recommend that City Council approve/deny the request to construct an accessory structure <br />at 15410 Jackel Street N.W. larger than allowed by City Code and accordingly, adopt <br />Resolution g93-08- declaring terms of conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Review Cheeldist: <br />P&Z: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator <br />Building Official <br />8/3/93 <br /> <br /> <br />
