CASE <br /> <br />PROPOSED CRITERIA FOR CONSIDERING DEVELOPMENT OUTSIDE THE <br />METROPOLITAN URBAN SERVICE AREA <br /> By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may recall, several months ago the developers of Rum River Hills PUD and approached <br />the City for approval to develop townhouses prior to municipal sewer and water services being <br />available to the site. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposal and ' <br />forwarded the matter to City Council. The City Council tabled action on the proposal and directed <br />City Staff to develop criteria for considering development outside the MUSA that exceeds the 4 in <br />40 density standard. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review and comment is the most recent draft of Staff's proposal for such <br />criteria. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Please review the attached and any comments and recommendations will be forwarded to City <br />Council on August 9. <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />For information and review only. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Engineer <br />Economic Development Coordinator <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />PC: 8/2/94 <br /> <br /> <br />
