**'1996 i RAMSEY BUSINESS EXPO AND THE COMMUNITY
PICNIC HAVE BEEN COMBINED***
JUNE 1, 1996

This year's EXI~O~ will be held on Saturday, June 1, 1996 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
during the Com/~unity Picnic sponsored by the Ramsey Lions. These two events were
combined to allow residents the opportunity to attend both events without sacrificing two
weekends. Adm~."ssion is free, but a donation for the local food shelves is requested. The
best of the last four years will be retained and many new ideas will be added, including on-
site food and beverage sales, live entertainment, demonstration events and rides for every
member of the f~nily.

"With 79% of al~ new jobs being provided by small businesses, it is very important that the
local communit~ support and patronize local businesses" states David Kent, vice-
chairperson of tl/e Ramsey Economic Development Commission. Small businesses are the
lifeblood of loca~ economies, as every dollar that is spent is money that helps provide jobs
and creates addilional advantages to the community. That is why the City sponsors the
Business EXPO and encourages all residents to attend and meet their local business people.

Planning big ev{~nts such as the Business EXPO requires many people working together
and dedicating .time to make the day a success. The EXPO Committee is looking for
volunteers to hop with all aspects of planning, publicizing, setup and cleanup of the
EXPO. Interest4erl persons should contact Allan Stafki at 323-9083 or Jim Gromberg at
427-1410. If you would like to have a booth at the EXPO, you may also contact either
Allan or Jim. Pa~'ticipation is open to all businesses and residents.
