At least fifty percent (50%) of the signage area must be <br />placed on the measured wall with remaining signage area, <br />if desired, distributed on any other wall or walls. Sign <br />height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no <br />parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the <br />eaves. The gross surface area of a wall, canopy or marquee <br />sign may be increased by ten percent (10%) if such wail <br />sign: <br /> <br />Consists only of individual, outlined alphabetic, <br />numeric and/or symbolic characters without <br />background except that provided by the building <br />surface to which the sign is to be affixed; and <br /> <br />ii. <br /> <br />Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded <br />illumination, shielded silhouette lighting, or <br />shielded spot lighting but not any lighting where the <br />light source is visible or exposed on the face or <br />sides of the characters. <br /> <br />111. <br /> <br />A wall, canopy or marquee sign may be located on <br />the outermost wall of any principal building but <br />shall not project more than sixteen (16) inches from <br />the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. A wall <br />sign shall not project higher than the parapet line of <br />the wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground <br />sign for each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground <br />sign shall not exceed one hundred (100) square feet for <br />each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface <br />area of two hundred (200) square feet. <br /> <br />Service Bay Identification Signs. Service bay <br />identification signs providing direction or instruction to <br />persons using the facility and containing no advertising <br />material of any kind shall be subject to the following: <br /> <br />All service bay identification signs shall be wall <br />signs. <br /> <br />ii. <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one (1) service bay <br />identification sign for each service bay located on <br />the parcel. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />May 1, 2003 Draft <br /> <br /> <br />
