always be elected with a two year term councilmember always standing for <br /> election and either the District 1, 2 and 3 councilmembers standing for <br /> election or the District 4 councilmember and the mayor standing for election. <br /> 2.3. 4 . Redistricting and Elections. After redistricting has occurred as <br /> provided in Subsection 2.3.2. of this Section, the terms of the <br /> councilmembers in all four election districts shall terminate, effective <br /> December 31 of the next odd-numbered year following the year in which the <br /> redistricting became effective, and those offices shall be filled in an <br /> election to be in that odd-numbered year. <br /> The terms of these offices shall be four years, except that the initial term <br /> for each district, other than those in which the four-year term of office was <br /> terminated before its normal expiration date in accordance with the above <br /> procedure, shall be two years. <br /> Please note the above will need to be adjusted accordingly if it is <br /> determined that five councilmembers are to be elected by District. <br /> A <br />
