The Commission reviewed language for the annual
letter to the Chief Judge, received an update on the proposed Charter Amendment sent to Council
in October/November, received information from the City’s Attorney relating to Chapter 4.5.5 of
the City’s Charter, received a report on some follow-up items (i.e., training budget, a
representative of the League of Minnesota Cities presenting information to the Charter relating to
policies, updates, etc.) scheduled the next meeting, and talked about tentative agenda items.

Tim Vogt’s term expires December 31, 2004, and he is not eligible for reappointment as he has
served two consecutive four-year terms. City staff will advertise to fill the vacancy. Aimee
Fischer, who replaced Marguerite Henke, has a term set to expire December 31, 2004 also, but is
eligible for reappointment and has indicated she is interested in continuing to serve.

Very truly yours,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Timothy Vogt
Charter Commission Chairperson

TV/jmt

c.Charter Commission
City Attorney
