Comprehensive Water and Sewer Studies), water and sewer laterals at 3% increase for <br />residential and commercial construction based on the construction cost index average since <br />2012, and an 8% increase in quarterly storm water utility rates, to establish funding for <br />upcoming storm water projects in the next few years per the 2018-2027 Capital Improvement <br />Plan (CIP). All of the proposed utility rates are lower than the average 2017 metro rates for like <br />utilities. All sizes of water meters have been added to the fee schedule. The fee requested is <br />equivalent to the city's cost plus sales tax. <br />The 2018 schedule will become effective January 1, 2018. <br />Notification: <br />This Ordinance was introduced by the City Council at their regular meeting of November 14, 2017. <br />The Public Hearing notice was published in the Anoka Union on November 17, 2017. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Options: <br />1. Accept the rates as proposed. <br />2. Hold all rates constant with 2017 rates. <br />3.
