City Attorney Goodrich noted that the whole text needed to be reworked to include the proper legal language. Councilmember Anderson questioned the definition of"land in common ownership". City Attorney Goodrich replied that the legal definition would be property owned by the same entity. Councihnember Hendriksen suggested including a definition of common ownership in the ordinance. Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt the Density Transition Ordinance introduced on November 14, 2000. A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: Councihnember Hendriksen aye Councihnember Anderson no Councilmember Kurak no Councihnember Zimmerman aye Mayor Gamec absent Motion failed. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to introduce an ordinance to establish the requirement for density transitioning and direct the City Attorney to make the necessary editorial changes and direct City staff to present the language at the Chapter 9 subcommittee meeting and schedule a public hearing regarding the same at the next Planning Colnmission meeting. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, Kurak, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gamec. Case #5: 2002 Council Organization City Administrator Norman stated that each year the Council needs to adopt the 2002 Council organization. Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to adopt Resolution #02-01-008 for the 2002 Council organization, with the exception of legal services, section 2k, to address the issue later in the agenda, adopt Resolution #02-01-009 designating financial institutions as official depositories of City Funds for 2002, adopt Resolution #02-01- 010 designating Community First National Bank as official' financial institution for the City of City Council/January 8, 2002 Page 15 of 27
