(Erika Sitz arrived at this point in the meeting.) <br /> <br />Mr. Loren Gordon of Hoisington Koegler Group (HKG) was present. He indicated that he met <br />with Sarah Strommen, the City Council liaison, and City Staff regarding the possibility of <br />assisting the City with drafting a wetland protection ordinance. As a result, he has been invited <br />to present a proposal to the EPTF. <br /> <br />Mr. Gordon then reviewed the contents of his letter to Sylvia Frolik dated September 21, 2004. <br />The letter described HKG's approach to drafting an ordinance for Ramsey. Mr. Gordon stated <br />that HKG would propose to sub-contract with Peterson Environmental for assistance with the <br />scientific aspect of the project. Peterson Environmental received Metropolitan Council and <br />Builder's Association funding to perform a wetland buffer study in the metro area. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik also noted that Ramsey and John Peterson of Oakwood Land Development is working <br />with Peterson Environmental to find a northern site for the Buffer Study. At this point, Alpine <br />Woods seems is a likely candidate. <br /> <br />Ms. Sitz stated that she would like to see a map of public waters in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Consensus was to involve Anoka Conservation District, DNR and Lower Rum River Water <br />Management Organization in this project. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson McDilda and seconded by Committee Member Sitz to direct City Staff to <br />designate a funding source and forward a recommendation to City Council to engage the services <br />of Hoisington Koegler Group to assist in the development of a wetland protection ordinance for <br />the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda and Committee Member Olds. Absent: <br />Com~nittee Members Bauer, Max, Sitz and Connolly.
