ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Economic Development Commission conducted a regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, November 9, 1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, MN <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Don Oreenberg, Chairman <br />Mr. Ken Wagner <br />Mr. Darryl Fults <br />Mr. Glen Hardin <br />Mr. Jack Ippel <br />Mr. Steve Gorecki <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Banwart, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Kurak <br />Mr. Bob Muller <br />Mr. Bernie Vevea <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg called the regular Economic Development Commission meeting <br />to order at 7:35 a.m. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />The Economic Development Commission was introduced to the new Community <br />Development Director, Mr. Mark S. Banwart. <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart is exploring the possibilities of streamlining the various Commissions <br />and departments in order to eliminate the duplication of efforts. He will be providing <br />the Commission with some flow charts on these items at the next meeting of the <br />Economic Development Commission with respect to the creation of an Economic <br />Development Authority. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg agreed that it would be a good idea to bring in these reports and <br />flow charts or a representative from the Northern Mayors Association. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gorecki and seconded by Commissioner Fults to support a <br />special joint meeting of City Council, the Economic Development Commission and the <br />Economic Development Company. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Gorecki, Fults, <br />Hardin, Wagner and Ippel. Voting No: None.
