I C) Publicity Subcommittee <br /> <br />The Publicity Subcommittee will meet with All-Brite Graphics in the near future <br />regarding the start-up of the Ramsey Fact Booklet. <br /> <br />D) Business Incubator Subcommittee - <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />E) Frontage Road Subcommittee <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />F) Star City Work Program Subcommittee - <br /> <br />It was stated that active promotion of our city should involve the entire community to <br />promote good will and a feeling of being united in a common cause. It was also stated <br />that we should be promoting our city to the Real Estate Industry, as they are the ones <br />that seek out properties for potential industries/employers in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />G) Highway #10 Implementation Subcommittee <br /> <br />No report. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discussion on changing regular meeting time of the Commission. <br /> <br />It was agreed that the majority of the Commission members preferred morning <br />meetings because there were as many or more conflicts for an evening meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3; Star q~ity Five Year Pl0n, <br /> <br />The Commission discussed several ideas for incorporation into the goals for the Five <br />Year Plan. They included development of a frontage road along Highway #10, <br />adjacent and parallel to the railroad tracks; a Rum River Bridge crossing; implement <br />zoning protection to insure compatible business development and raise development <br />standards; a Mississippi River Bridge crossing and realignment of County Road #83 <br />(Armstrong Blvd.). <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion regarding future goals of the Economic Development <br /> ,Commission, <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he feels that it would be in the best interest of the <br />Economic Development Commission if a Ramsey resident were the Chairperson. He <br />requested that the Commissioners have a candidate in mind by the time of the next <br />regular Commission meeting as well as candidates for the 2 positions on the <br />Commission that expire on January 31, 1989. The final decisions must be made at the <br />January 1989 meeting.
