Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and AUTHORIZATION FOR ACQUISITION FOR CERTAIN STREET AND UTILITY EASEMENTS RESOLUTION NO. 88- WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to construct an improvement project known as Improvement Project ~88-21, which project will facil- itate the construction of Streets and drainage facilities generally in: Outlot C, Northfork and Part of SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 19, Township 32, Range 25; all in the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the improvement consists of the construction of drainage facilities and a new street, all of which improvements are necessary in order to provide for the health, w~lfare and safety of the resi- dents of the city of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, certain lands are required to provide perpetual easements for said improvement construction. WHEREAS, the property owners from whom easements are required have been identified by the City as follows, to-wit: Parcel No. Owner Street & Utility Drainage Easement Easement 1 Norfolk Dev., Inc. Christian 15,990 SF 22,610 SF 0 SF 22,225 SF 0 SF WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council finds that it is in the public's interest, that the project be expedited to the extent allowable by law and that there is a need to acquire use of the real property prior to the award of the court-appointed commissioners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RA~SEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the street improvements as described herein are public projects and that the real property is reasonably necessary and con- venient to the furtherance of said public projects and the acquisition of interests in the real property as described herein will further 5he public health, welfare, safety and convenience of the City of Ramsey.
