Fm'ther discussion: The Committee discussed at length if they should use a ballot process to forward the recommendations. Majority consensus was to continue with the motion. Planning Commissioner Reeves noted that he agreed with the reappointments to the Planning Commission. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Hendriksen, Reeves, and Zimmerman. Voting No: Mayor Gamec and Member Anderson. Absent: Councilmember Kurak. Motion by Member Hendriksen, seconded by Member Zimmerman, to recommend that the City Council appoint Pete Stanius to the EDA. Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman stated that Mr. Stanius seemed to be very ethical, which is a quality he felt the City needed. Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he also felt that Mr. Stanius had good business savvy as well. EDA Member Schreiber stated that Jim Gromberg is very interested in the EDA and knows the community well. Mr. Stanius wasn't real interested in serving on the EDA. Motion failed. Voting Yes: Members Hendriksen and Zimmerman. Voting No: Mayor Gamec, and Melnbers Anderson, and Schreiber. Motion by EDA Member Schreiber, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to recommend that the City Council appoint Jim Gromberg to the EDA. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Members Anderson, and Schreiber. Voting No: Members Hendriksen and Zimmerman. Councihnember Zimmerman noted that he voted no on the motion because he felt Pete Stanius was a better candidate. Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Mayor Gamec, to recommend that the City Council reappoint Jon Olds, Steve Ostrum, and Michael Rolfe to the Park Commission and appoint Melody Shyrock to the Park Commission. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Members Hendriksen, Anderson, Johns, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. COMMITTEE INPUT None.
