19 October 1977

City of Ramsey
14100 St. Francis Boulevard
Anoka, Minnesota 55303

Attention: Mr. Arnold Cox, Mayor

Dear Mayor Cox,

I attended as you will recall the Zoning Public Hearing
on October 17th, 1977 at 7:30 PM at the Ramsey Elementary
School for purposes of up-dating myself and representing
Mr. Norman D. Holm from H & S Asphalt in regard to his
land holdings in the City of Ramsey.

This letter will serve to re-confirm my statements of
that evening concerning the land directly to the East
of the Flintwood Hills Sub-Division. I have attached
a copy of the urban planning district proposed zoning
map. This map indicates the Flintwood Hills project
is UER-URBAN EXISTING RESIDENTIAL. To the East of Flint-
Wood Hills we have UC and UMB which is property that is
primarily owned by Mr. Holm and myself. We would like
to strongly recommend that the lines for this proposed
zoning be changed to allow UR-URBAN RESIDENTIAL for the
majority of the UC-URBAN CONSERVATION AREA and part of
the UMB-URBAN MULTIPLE BUSINESS.

Attached you will find a sketch outlining our proposal.

We have contacted Mr. Norman C. Hoium our surveyor who
is putting together the topographical information and
soil borings necessary to firm up our findings. We
feel the majority of the land is high and dry and would
be excellent for urban residential housing tying into
the Flintwood Hills project.
