Mr. Elvig stated that he is very gengitive to the political ig~ueg that have occurred in the City <br />lately, but be would encourage debate because it can create creative solutions. He also noted that <br />the Committee would be looking to receive input from anyone in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Kurak stated that she felt that Mr. John Fegis would be a benefit to the Task <br />Force. <br /> <br />Mr. Elvig replied that he would be delighted to speak with him as a liaison. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that Mr. Fegis had no vested interest in Ramsey, but is very <br />interested in the town center concept. <br /> <br />Councihnember Anderson stated that there are two principal landowners on the town center site <br />and inquired if there would be liaisons for each landowner. <br /> <br />Mr. Elvig replied that he would like to solicit information fi'om the landowners as well as the <br />residents. <br /> <br />Motion by Councihnember Hendriksen, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to approve the <br />Town Center Task Force Committee as described by Mr. Elvig with the seven members and <br />allowing them to call the necessary resources of the City, with the Committee being an advisory <br />board of the City Council and would report directly to the City Council. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councihnember Anderson inquired if Mr. Elvig envisioned regular reports to <br />the Council. Mr. Elvig replied that he would like to get together with the group and determine <br />how often they will be meeting. He would suggest that they give a once a month report to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Hendriksen, Kurak, <br />Anderson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec recessed the regular meeting of the City Council at 9:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council back to order at 9:22 p.m. <br /> <br />Case #7: Report from Public Works Committee <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on February 19, 2002, and discussed the following cases: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Consider Street Maintenance Program Multi Year Needs <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that staff revise the presented program to <br />reflect an approximately equal expenditure of City dollars over the six-year period and <br />the MSA funded programs also be identified.
