Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-11-338 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL FOR GRANT FUND TO FACILITATE THE REMEDIATION OF <br />CONTAMINATION ON THE ST. ANTHONY GUN CLUB PROPERTY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Livable Communities Act <br />Housing Incentive Program for 2004 as determined by the Metropolitan Council, and is therefore <br />eligible to make application for funds under the Tax Base Revitalization Account; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has identified the St. Anthony Gun Club Contamination cleanup as <br />a project that meets the Tax Base Revitalization Accounts purposes and criteria; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial, and financial capability to ensure <br />adequate project administration; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and <br />regulations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City agrees to act as legal sponsor for the project contained in the Tax <br />Base Revitalization grant application known as the St. Anthony Gun Club Contamination <br />Cleanup project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to apply to the Metropolitan <br />Council for funding on behalf of the City and to execute such agreement as are necessary <br />to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 04-11-338 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
